Africa-Press<\/a> – Mozambique<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>At 2:00 p.m. today, in the Luzhnik Arena, Mozambique\u2019s National Beach Soccer Team will face Tahiti today \u2013 a game which, if they win, will qualify them for the quarter-finals of the Beach Soccer World Cup in Moscow, Russia.<\/p>\n

The national team leaves for this third and final round of Group B matches well motivated, having beaten the United Arab Emirates 4-2 on Saturday, the first victory in their world championship debut.<\/p>\n

The Mozambican footballers could make history today if they defeat their Tahitian counterparts. They too have reached the last round with high confidence levels, having beaten Spain, thought the strongest team in their group, 12-8.<\/p>\n

Like Spain, Mozambique and Tahiti will enter the Luzhnik Arena tied three points each and knowing that the winner will secure a place in the second phase of the world\u2019s biggest and most important beach football event.<\/p>\n

On an individual level, it is important to mention, in the national team, the name of Figo, a player who has been delighting the public with his hat-tricks. Figo currently heads the list of top scorers, with seven goals, and will be a key player in Abineiro Ussaca\u2019s team this afternoon.<\/p>\n

Mozambique is the only country making a debut in world beach football this year. In its group, Spain has had the most appearances, with nine world cups in all, followed by the United Arab Emirates, with seven participations, and Tahiti with six.<\/p>\n
