Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) says that order and security in the country are under control, despite messages circulating on social media calling for demonstrations contesting the results of the local elections.<\/p>\n

According to PRM spokesperson Orlando Mudumane, cited by Radio Mozambique, the police are launching an investigation to identify the authors of the messages that have been published on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Police of the Republic of Mozambique works based on all the information it receives, all information is valued by the PRM,\u201d Mudumane said. \u201cAt this point, in addition to the obvious deployment of the police, based on this information, investigation work is taking place to identify the authors of these messages circulating on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I have said, the Police of the Republic of Mozambique is in a state of first degree readiness for any actions that may jeopardise public order and the normal course of work, especially here in the city of Maputo and in other regions of our country,\u201d Mudumane outlined.<\/p>\n
