The incident occurred around midnight. Fato was still asleep when he felt a bang in the backyard. Suddenly, flames sprung up and hit the vehicle, which was in the garage.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was rented, and the owner had apparently requested its return yesterday, but Fato did not comply.<\/p>\n

The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) was called to the scene for forensic work.<\/p>\n

Oddly, the STAE director\u2019s house has agents of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique permanently guarding it.<\/p>\n

It should be recalled that Lourenc\u0327o Fato is seen as one of the key players in the supposed \u201cshuffling\u201d of the recent electoral process, culminating in the lack of signatures on \u2018editais\u2019 at the voting tables.<\/p>\n
