Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The education sector in the province of Maputo will deploy teams across multiple communities within the next few days to identify and enrol children who are old enough to enter school first grade.<\/p>\n

The measure aims to help achieve the 54,000 target for children to be enrolled for the 2024 academic year.<\/p>\n

Maputo government spokesperson Ludgero Gemo made the announcement at a press conference in Matola yesterday coinciding with the start of the sixteenth ordinary session of the provincial executive.<\/p>\n

To date, around 7,000 children in Maputo province have been enrolled for Grade One in the 2024 academic year. The process runs until December 30th.<\/p>\n
