Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development predicts that one million households will escape food poverty by 2025 as a result of the implementation of the SUSTENTA program.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Wednesday during the government\u2019s information session in the Assembly of the Republic, Celso Correia said that the program would improve food security, job creation, social inclusion and productivity.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf the approximately 4.2 million households living in rural areas, around 1.8 million were in a situation of consumption and income poverty, due to their limited agricultural development, namely low productivity, and poor access to productive technologies, financial services and markets,\u201d he highlighted.<\/p>\n
