Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The self-styled \u201cIslamic State\u201d terrorist group killed at least four more people on Sunday when it invaded Muidumbe district, in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado, according to a report in Tuesday\u2019s issue of the independent newssheet \u201cCarta de Moc\u0327ambique.\u201d<\/p>\n

The terrorists, who were wearing military uniforms, attacked a fishing zone in the region of Inguri, around 20 kilometres from the village of Novo Cabo Delgado, where at least four people were killed on Friday.<\/p>\n

According to local sources, the attackers arrived when the residents were processing fish from the Inguri lake, and took them by surprise.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Inguri, we have reports from the local force that many people died because our military refused to go there. At least four deaths have been confirmed\u201d, said Lui\u0301s Benjamin Matato, from the village of Macomia, adding that of the four dead, two are his partners from the Chai administrative post.<\/p>\n

The sources also said that the terrorists left a letter in which they warned that there would be new attacks in the coming days, since people had not been allowed to return to the area.<\/p>\n

Cabo Delgado has been plagued by terrorism since October 2017 and, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the conflict has left one million people displaced and about 4,000 dead.<\/p>\n
