Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) warns that a heatwave in the southern part of Mozambique will continue until Friday, with temperatures ranging from hot to very hot (maximum 35 to 38 degrees Celsius), accompanied by thunderstorms.<\/p>\n

In Maputo province, Matutuine, Namaacha, Boane, Moamba, Magude, Manhic\u0327a and Marracuene districts and the cities of Maputo and Matola will be affected.<\/p>\n

In Gaza, Massingir, Cho\u0301kwe, Chonguene, Bilene, Limpopo, Mandlakazi, Chicua\u0301lacuala, Mapai, Mabalane, Chigubo, Massangena, Chibuto and Guija\u0301 districts and the city of Xai-Xai will be affected, and in Inhambane, Panda, Funhalouro and Mabote.<\/p>\n

The centre of the country continues to experience very hot weather locally, leading to strong winds, showers, thunderstorms and hail in the Zambezi valley.<\/p>\n

The INAM recommends taking appropriate precautionary and safety measures.<\/p>\n
