Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Cervejas de Moc\u0327ambique, one of Mozambique\u2019s largest companies, led by the Belgian group AB InBev, announced on Wednesday that it will distribute to shareholders more than \u20ac3 million in dividends for the 2022 financial year.<\/p>\n

According to information sent to investors, to which Lusa has had access, the company will on December 15 pay the gross amount of 1.38 meticais for each of the 158,533,230 shares of its share capital, totalling more of 218.7 million meticais (\u20ac3.1 million) in dividends.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis will be distributed to the holders of the shares on December 31, 2022, with dividends subject to a 10% withholding tax rate, in terms of IRPC and IRPS,\u201d the communique\u0301 adds, referring to the decision approved at the company\u2019s extraordinary general meeting on October 20.<\/p>\n

Cervejas de Moc\u0327ambique is part of the Belgian group Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), which holds 83.01% of the share capital along with, among others, the Mozambican state, with a 1.37% share, and Mozambique\u2019s National Social Security Institute (INSS), with 2.6%.<\/p>\n

Cervejas de Moc\u0327ambique (CDM) is considered the sixth largest company in the country, and was established on August 1, 1995, following the privatization of the MacMahon 2M and Manica breweries, in Maputo and Beira respectively, owners of historic beer brands such as Laurentina (launched in 1932), which it acquired in 2022 (\u20182M\u2019).<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s main activity is the production, distribution and sale of beer and other beverages.<\/p>\n
