Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Passability is restricted on the Mopeia-Nhacatiua road in Luabo district, Zambezia \u2013 a distance of around 96 kilometres \u2013 due to heavy rain in the region in the last few days.<\/p>\n

The information was provided to Radio Mozambique by Roberto Segredo, Director of the Luabo District Planning and Infrastructure Services.<\/p>\n

Segredo said that the road is currently very muddy, making passage virtually impossible, and only some motorised vehicles succeeding, albeit with great difficulty.<\/p>\n

The source said that the situation is increasing transport costs, with residents of Luabo district able to access the rest of the province only via Marromeu district in Sofala.<\/p>\n

Access to other parts of the district is reasonable, the source said, taking into account the rehabilitation of rural roads Luabo district currently underway with financing from the World Bank.<\/p>\n
