Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Linhas Ae\u0301reas de Moc\u0327ambique (LAM) confirmed \u201cto its valued customers and the general public\u201d via a press release on Sunday (04-02) that \u201can incident between two Q400 aircraft, from the flag carrier, which occurred on Sunday (04.02), in Inhambane, resulted in the rescheduling of some flights\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to LAM, \u201cthe reprogramming aims to ensure that all safety protocols were observed after the incident that occurred during parking. LAM has already participated regarding the incident with the Civil Aviation Authority of Mozambique for the appropriate purposes. At this moment, assistance actions are taking place for passengers who should have already left Inhambane for Maputo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, data collected from passengers by Integrity indicates that the incident occurred at Inhambane aerodrome at around 1:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, when the tail of an aircraft from Maputo that had just landed in Inhambane, destined for the \u201cepicentre of national tourism\u201d [Vilankulo] impacted that of another aircraft already landed in Inhambane on the Vilankulo-Johannesburg route.<\/p>\n

On board the aircraft when the collision occurred, sources reported, were tourists of different nationalities, including North Americans, South Africans and Mozambicans, all left seething by the delay.<\/p>\n
