Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Institute for the Research of the History of the National Liberation Struggle (IPHLLN) intends to produce three anthologies that bring together various narratives about the contemporary history of Portuguese-Speaking African Countries (PALOP).<\/p>\n

The collection, with the first volume set to be released later this year, will focus on the struggle against Portuguese colonial domination in Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe.<\/p>\n

The compilation project was agreed upon by the Heads of State of the five African countries colonized by Portugal, aiming to record and preserve the liberating memories of this epic.<\/p>\n

In this context, Maputo hosted the first methodological seminar titled \u201cState of the Art on the History of the National Liberation Struggle in Mozambique.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event was attended by various national researchers, and another similar seminar, bringing together researchers from all involved countries, is scheduled for May or June in Guinea-Bissau.<\/p>\n

Analyzing studies on the history of Mozambique, particularly the national liberation struggle, was the focus of the seminar that brought together teams that have been working together for more than two months.<\/p>\n

According to historian and Vice Chancellor of Eduardo Mondlane University, Joel das Neves Tembe, the first anthology consists of three chapters, with the first one focusing on characterizing Mozambican society and others in the colonial context.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach of our nations, although colonized by the same Portuguese colonial regime, has specific characteristics,\u201d explained Joel das Neves Tembe, who is also the spokesperson for the initiative.<\/p>\n
