Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Negotiations between healthcare professionals and the government have been ongoing for almost a year, but from June 2023 until now, there has been no agreement.<\/p>\n

During a press conference held this Wednesday, healthcare professionals stated that they have no choice but to resume their strike.<\/p>\n

Rosana Zunguze, spokesperson for the Association of United and Solidary Healthcare Professionals of Mozambique (APSUM), announced that healthcare professionals will go on strike again starting Monday, April 29, for 30 days because, as they explained, negotiations with the government have not yielded the desired results.<\/p>\n

Zunguze told O Pai\u0301s that almost all the demands outlined in the list of claims, which has been with the government for 10 months, are not being met.<\/p>\n

Healthcare professionals have decided to resume the strike because they feel that despite negotiations with the government, the situation in healthcare facilities is worsening.<\/p>\n
