Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Maritime authorities in Inhambane will take out of circulation all vessels for transporting people and goods that have not been inspected by next Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The annual inspection of vessels for transporting people and goods has been ongoing since last March.<\/p>\n

So far, only 8 out of the 93 vessels operating in the main crossings of the Inhambane province have been inspected.<\/p>\n

The delegate of the Maritime Transport Institute in Inhambane, Dino\u0301rio Mutumane, warns that within days, a coercive inspection will be conducted, including the inspection of licenses for maritime transport activities.<\/p>\n

He emphasizes that vessels showing mechanical deficiencies and other administrative irregularities will be fined and prevented from operating.<\/p>\n

Currently, the action is focused on the Inhambane Bay, where about 6,000 people cross the sea daily.<\/p>\n
