Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Mozambique\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Vero\u0301nica Macamo, says that the Mozambique-European Union Business Forum constitutes unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to find the right key to open business doors in the European market.<\/p>\n

Minister Macamo was speaking at the opening of the forum in the city of Inhambane, as part of the Partnership Dialogue between the Government of Mozambique and the European Union (EU).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe that Inhambane will be able to take advantage of this unique opportunity to maximise the results of contacts to establish mutually advantageous partnerships, which will contribute to boosting the sustainability of our companies and consolidating the business environment,\u201d the minister argued.<\/p>\n

She encouraged businesspeople in Inhambane to continue to be at the forefront of promoting investment opportunities, contributing to the generation of wealth and the creation of new jobs for Mozambicans, particularly young people.<\/p>\n

Vero\u0301nica Macamo praised the commitment of European Union member countries to deepening and enhancing cooperative relations with Mozambique, for the well-being of Mozambicans and the country\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are convinced that, after this Forum and the visits they will make to the various places in this province, and also due to the conversations they will certainly hold with the locals, our European partners present in this room will leave with a more in-depth knowledge of the economic reality and social aspects of the province of Inhambane and the enormous investment potential and business opportunities it offers,\u201d Minister Macamo said.<\/p>\n

Minister Macamo also urged and encouraged the ambassadors of European Union member countries to bring businesspeople from their respective countries, in order to take advantage of the favourable business environment, investment and business opportunities and potential of Inhambane province, and the country in general.<\/p>\n

For the minister, the presence of leaders, businesspeople, representatives of civil society and other guests and interested parties from different parts of the province, \u201cconstitutes, without a shadow of a doubt, a demonstration of the province\u2019s willingness to explore this window of opportunities that the government and the European Union are opening for Inhambane, thus contributing to the development of the business area in this part of the country\u201d.<\/p>\n

Macamo recalled that the forum takes place right after the 19th Annual Private Sector Conference (CASP) in Maputo, under the theme: \u201cInvestments and Business in the Environment of Economic Acceleration Measures: Challenges and Opportunities\u201d, where the government and business leaders reflected on the progress and challenges of the Package of Economic Acceleration Measures launched by the Mozambican government in 2022 and addressed in depth how to improve the business environment to make the country more attractive and more competitive.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a government, we will continue to provide the necessary support to the private sector to achieve this goal,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n

The Mozambique-EU Business Forum was held in the context of the 1st Session of the Partnership Dialogue between the Government of Mozambique and the European Union within the framework of the new Samoa Agreement, which in turn took place on Tuesday in the capital of Inhambane province.<\/p>\n
