Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Today, healthcare professionals across Mozambique are returning to work following a nearly month-long strike in pursuit of improved working conditions, inclusion in the Unified Salary Table, risk allowances, and overtime pay.<\/p>\n

The 30-day suspension of the strike was announced yesterday during a joint press conference held by the Ministry of Health and the Association of United and Solidary Health Professionals of Mozambique.<\/p>\n

Anselmo Muchave, president of the association, confirmed that this decision comes after significant progress in negotiations with the government regarding the key issues affecting the profession.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn relation to overtime pay, supplements for 2022 have been disbursed, while those for 2023 will be released in phases until August, following validation by the General Inspectorate of Finance,\u201d Muchave stated.<\/p>\n

Additionally, technicians from both general and special career regimes assigned to healthcare units, and those not currently receiving the risk allowance, are advised to contact their respective organizational units for regularization.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this regard, there is a notable gain, which is the adjustment of the risk allowance from 10 to 15 percent for all professionals,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
