Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Energy and Mines of Algeria, Mohamed Arkab, welcomed Ernesto Max Tonela, the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Mozambique, who is leading a multi-sector delegation on a working visit to Algeria. This was announced in a statement by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.<\/p>\n

Spanning from May 26 to May 31, the visit aims to explore cooperation opportunities between Algeria and Mozambique, building on agreements reached during the Mozambican President\u2019s visit to Algeria on February 28-29, 2024.<\/p>\n

This visit will also serve to discuss and develop partnerships in the energy sector, particularly following the memorandum of understanding signed between the two nations in February 2024. The meeting will focus on strategies to enhance and implement cooperative projects that were previously agreed upon.<\/p>\n

The Algerian Ministry underscored that this initiative is a significant step towards fostering stronger bilateral relations and advancing joint economic interests.<\/p>\n

The delegation\u2019s visit is expected to include high-level discussions and site visits to key energy and industrial facilities, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of potential collaborative ventures.<\/p>\n

This engagement aligns with Algeria\u2019s broader strategy to expand its international partnerships and leverage its energy sector to boost economic development. Mozambique, with its growing energy sector and economic potential, is seen as a strategic partner in this endeavour.<\/p>\n

Both countries are committed to leveraging their respective strengths to achieve shared economic goals and enhance the welfare of their populations through collaborative efforts in key sectors.<\/p>\n
