Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Gangs of armed men have invaded the premises of two mining companies in the northern Gile\u0301 district of Zambe\u0301zia province and vandalised equipment.<\/p>\n

Spokesman for the Police of the Republic of Mozambique in Zambe\u0301zia, Miguel Caetano, confirms the information but says he has no further details as yet.<\/p>\n

Caetano told \u2018Noti\u0301cias\u2019 this Thursday that police were deployed to the site to ascertain what happened and try to deduce any possible motive for the acts.<\/p>\n

Robberies and vandalization at companies and other institutions are frequent in Gile\u0301 district. This is the third such occurrence in less than two years.<\/p>\n

The mining and health sectors seem to be the protagonists\u2019 preferred targets.<\/p>\n
