Africa-Press<\/a> – Mozambique<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The reinforcement of institutional capacity and the improvement of the organizational structure are among the goals of the new president of the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique (CCM), \u00c1lvaro Massingue.<\/p>\n

A former member of the CTA Board of Directors, \u00c1lvaro Massingue, says he is committed to ensuring the promotion of women and young entrepreneurs, of industrialization and of exports, and of business among members and attracting investments, as well as the sustainability of the Chamber and reinforcement of cooperation partnerships with similar entities.<\/p>\n

The new president of the CCM, elected last Monday with a total of 224 votes, also underlined that its governance strategy is based on the principle of cohesion and collective responsibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware that the path is quite thorny, but we are also confident that the unity of all members of our organization and the support of all our cooperation partners will provide the desired strength and difference. In the near future, in a mid-term review session, we can be proud of our efforts,\u201d said Massingue.<\/p>\n

On the same occasion, the outgoing president of the General Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique, Lu\u00edsa Diogo, said she believed that the elected candidate will be a president of all the associates.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all have to learn to live together, for an active and ethical Chamber. We hope that the new team will know how to elevate the interests of the Chamber so that the common good of the associates prevails,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n

The elected president committed to turning the CCM into a platform which enables the involvement of all the associates, for the reinforcement of the country\u2019s economic development strategy.<\/p>\n

\u00c1lvaro Massinga replaces Juli\u00e3o Dimande in the CCM presidency. His management team at CCM includes M\u00f3di Adriano Maleiane (who has held the position of President of the Women and Gender Department since 2019) as vice-president, and Lu\u00eds Maga\u00e7o Jr as chairman of the Supervisory Board.<\/p>\n

Also on Monday, Lucas Chachine was elected chair of the General Assembly, replacing Lu\u00edsa Diogo, and S\u00f3nia Uache as the body\u2019s deputy chair.<\/p>\n
