Africa-Press<\/a> – Mozambique<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Tax Authority of Mozambique\u2019s Special Goods Control Team at Mavalane International Airport (Maputo) on Wednesday foiled an attempt to export heroin to Canada.<\/p>\n

According to a Tax Authority (AT) statement, the drug was disguised ias 247 capulana buttons being sent by mail service to one Jacqueline Brenda, ostensibly a resident of Canada.<\/p>\n

The AT, whose suspicions were aroused by the volume of the consignment, requested tests from the National Criminal Investigation Service, which confirmed the presence of heroin.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, steps are being taken to clarify the case, as well as to hold the authors responsible,\u201d the note details.<\/p>\n
