Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Nacala Logistics transported a total of 62,574 people on its passenger trains during the third quarter of this year, 8,085 more than in the previous quarter, an increase of around 14%.<\/p>\n

An official company source notes that the results were influenced by the easing of restrictive Covid-19 measures, and the gradual recovery of economic activity in Mozambique, especially in the Nacala Corridor.<\/p>\n

Nacala Logistics has introduced electronic ticketing for its passenger transport service, as part of the project to modernise the passenger management system, aimed at ensuring greater operational efficiency on its Nampula-Cuamba, Cuamba-Lichinga and Cuamba-Entre Lagos routes.<\/p>\n

Nacala Logistics reiterates its commitment to serving communities along the corridor, ensuring low-cost, accessible transportation for populations.<\/p>\n

Nacala Logistics is responsible for the management and operation of the 1,600 kilometre rail system, carrying coal, general cargo and passenger transport.<\/p>\n

The Nacala Logistics brand represents the companies of the Nacala Corridor: Northern Development Corridor (CDN), Nacala Integrated Logistics Corridor (CLN), Central East African Railways (CEAR), Companhia Log\u00edstica de \u00c1frica (CLA) and Vale Logistics Limited (VLL).<\/p>\n
