{"id":97935,"date":"2026-02-19T20:47:30","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T20:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\/all-news\/traffic-restored-on-most-niassa-province-roads"},"modified":"2026-02-19T21:16:26","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T21:16:26","slug":"traffic-restored-on-most-niassa-province-roads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/mozambique\/all-news\/traffic-restored-on-most-niassa-province-roads","title":{"rendered":"Traffic Restored on Most Niassa Province Roads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ap-article-header-tag\"> <strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Mozambique. <\/strong> <\/span>The land transport network has been provisionally restored on most roads in Niassa province, which were damaged by the heavy rains recorded in recent days.<\/p>\n<p>The delegate of the National Roads Administration (ANE) in Niassa, Oreste Zezela, explained that, to ensure traffic in various communities across the province, approximately 195 million meticais were invested in emergency works.<\/p>\n<p>According to Zezelal, six decks were installed on the bridge over the Nacache River, on the N360 road, helping to relieve road traffic between the districts of Mau\u0301a and Metarica.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, major works took place on the R734 road, along the Metangula\u2013Cobue\u0301 section, over approximately 170 kilometres; on the N360, between Marrupa and Mecula, covering about 143 kilometres; on the R720, which connects Cuamba to Mecanhelas.
