In his address at the ministerial panel under the theme\u2019 Driving Policy Synergies for a Sustainable Energy Transition in the SADC Region\u2019, Mandla underlined that Mozambique is one of the region\u2019s main energy producers and a strategic energy transit corridor.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that hydropower continues to form the backbone of the national electricity system, ensuring low-cost baseload power and sustaining the country\u2019s commitment to regional energy exports.
