Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Gapi and MozParks jointly designed the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development and Innovation (CDEI) aimed at \u201cpromoting the incubation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the development of cognitive management skills in MSMEs\u201d. The CDEI\u2019s investment agreement was signed on Monday, 23rd November.<\/p>\n

Adolfo Muholove chairman of the Gapi-SI Executive Committee, explained that the newly created Centre for Entrepreneurial Development and Innovation (CDEI) \u201cwill contribute to the socio-economic development of the country through the promotion of MSMEs and the training of human resources. The acting vectors include, but are not limited to, (i) Incubation; (ii) Training; (iii) Business Prospecting and Business Studies; (iv) Organisation of Business Management Training Academies; and (v) Solidarity Economy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Adrian Frey, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MozParks, said during the signing: \u201cOur vision is to support all major projects with Industrial Parks. This partnership with Gapi meets one of our goals, which is to develop human potential in our industrial parks. Currently we at the stage of expansion to Tete and we have got a project to build a park in Balama to work with graphite exporting companies in that area and in Montepuez\u201d.<\/p>\n

In this partnership, Gapi will use its three-decade experience in the implementation of programs and projects to assist business development, in which it uses an integrated methodology which combines Financial Services (FS), Business Training and Consulting (BTC) and Business Development Services (BDS).<\/p>\n

One of the priorities of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development and Innovation (CDEI) is to promote the incubation of Young Entrepreneurs, through training in several areas, including in MSME management.<\/p>\n

Professional training will be provided in partnership with companies located in Beluluane Park and in other regions of the country and the SADC.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccess to information and communication technologies and access to financial and banking services for these companies are of crucial importance in our interventions\u201d \u2013 seconded Ivandro Bauaze, Director of CCE,. \u201cPromoting financial inclusion initiatives, including the training of managers of financial institutions, and of companies operating in the context of vulnerable economies, are actions which should stimulate the emerge of a new generation of innovative entrepreneurs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The training programs will include obtaining of Diploma with academic validity. They will initially be given in partnership with universities and higher education institutes in Mozambique and other countries. Courses for this level will be modular and based on the academic credit system.<\/p>\n
