The Vegetable Oil Price Index averaged 183.1 points in March, up 5.1% from February and marking a third straight monthly increase, with a 13.2% annual rise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInternational palm oil prices reached their highest level since mid-2022 and moved to a premium over soy oil, largely reflecting spillover effects from the sharp increases in crude oil prices,\u201d the FAO said.<\/p>\n<p>The Meat Price Index averaged 127.7 points, up 1% from February and 8% higher than a year earlier.
