Africa-Press – Namibia. KHOMAS Second Division Football League team Arcadia FC have moved the date for their fundraising raffle draw that was scheduled to take place on the 29 January 2022.
“We are happy to announce that the deadline for the draw has been extended to the end of April 2022, to be able to give everybody a chance to contribute to our cause of building a sporting and training facility in Grysblok,” said fundraising coordinator Paul Egelser.
“We are delighted to also announce that the following companies – Schooltex CC, Just Imagine Sports, Okahandi CC, Dantom Investments and Delimaka Investments – have joined Arcadia FC in this endeavour to make this initiative a reality.” Arcadia FC have also set up a global fundraising platform to increase its contribution pool to the rest of the country, and beyond.
“Arcadia FC is therefore calling on all sport-loving Namibians to support the initiate to build and set up a training and recreation facilities for young people in Grysblok. The initiative could then be replicated to other communities around the country,” Egelser said.
“We are inviting the corporate sector to come join hands with us, to make the lives of the children and youngsters of Grysblok better, and provide an avenue for them to exercise.”
The Arcadia FC raffle draw will take place on Saturday, 30 April 2022 from 10h00 and will be marked by a children and adults fun game.
