Africa-Press – Namibia. PRIME minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila has appointed Titus Ndove as the executive director of finance from 1 February.

He will take over from Ericah Shafudah, who retired from the ministry in July last year. The head of procurement, Francois Brand, has been acting in the position since August.

Ndove has over 20 years of experience, ranging from public financial management, public procurement, central and commercial banking, financial markets, and corporate governance.

The new executive director has worked as the head of public sector and market intelligence at Standard Bank, as deputy executive director for state accounts, as accountant general at the Ministry of Finance, as director of financial markets at the Bank of Namibia, and as adviser to the treasury.

“At the same time, we would like to sincerely thank Mr Francois Brand for steering the ministry ship during his acting period. We commend Mr Brand for executing his duties with courage,” the prime minister says.
