Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibia Meteorological Service (NMS) has warned of heavy rainfall expected in the northern-eastern parts of the country, as well as half of the central and southern regions.
This was said in a statement issued today by NMS acting deputy director Franz Uirab.
Uirab says flash floods are likely to occur in the Zambezi, Kavango East, Kavango West, Ohangwena, Otjozondjupa, Khomas, Hardap and //Kharas regions over the weekend.
He says the significant rains are caused by a tropical depression.
“There will be moderate to strong winds to be expected over the interior,” he adds.
