Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) youth league in the United Kingdom (UK) will be assisting students in Ukraine with flight tickets from Poland to Namibia.
In a statement released on Saturday, acting secretary general Yvette Araes said intervention is necessitated by the grave conditions the students currently find themselves in after the Namibian government’s failure to intervene promptly in repatriating them.
“Students who have made their way to Poland are in need of a flight to get back to Namibia and are urged to contact the PDM Youth League UK branch representative, Natasha Kaangundue, on +44 7950 258875 through direct calls or WhatsApp,” she said. Araes said due to the cost involved the youth league is also pleading with members of the public to contribute towards the tickets.
