Africa-Press – Namibia. PRESIDENT Hage Geingob is on the move again.
This time he has jetted off to Qatar to strengthen bilateral cooperation, according to a short update on the Namibian Presidency’s social media platforms.
The update said Geingob had departed for an official visit to the State of Qatar.
This comes after the Presidency said over the weekend that Geingob had suffered a broken ankle.
Presidential spokesperson Alfredo Hengari said that Geingob will continue discharging his duties while wearing a protective boot.
“The Presidency wishes to assure the Namibian public that the president will continue to discharge his duties as usual,” Hengari said.
According to Hengari, Geingob had suffered injured ligaments in his right ankle with an accompanying small avulsion fracture.
