Africa-Press – Namibia. DUE to the inconvenience it would cause residents and businesses the Swakopmund Municipality will not close the water supply on Saturday from 00:00 until 20:00 as initially announced, but from Sunday at 21:00 until Monday at 13:00.
The municipality said a leak was detected in the raw water pipeline that supplies the whole town. Emergency maintenance services will affect the entire pipeline and the water supply will therefore be closed on Saturday to allow time for reparations.
The municipality advised all residents to plan accordingly and ensure they have enough water during the maintenance period. Those who have any enquiries can contact the municipality at 064 410 4111.
