Africa-Press – Namibia. KATIMA Mulilo Urban constituency councillor Kennedy Simasiku was arrested on Thursday for allegedly failing to pay a traffic fine of N$500.
He was issued the fine last June.
According to a document seen by The Namibian, Simasiku is “in contravention of driving a vehicle which is not equipped with a sounding device (hooter) on a public road”.
The incident took place along Ngoma Road.
Simasiku is due to appear in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate’s Court later on Thursday.
