Africa-Press – Namibia. One person working on a rail culvert was injured this morning when several train wagons derailed near Arandis at noon.
The cause of the derailment could not be established but 10 runaway railway wagons derailed at around 11h00 and 12h00 on Thursday morning between the Rossing and the Namib station.
TransNamib has closed the railway line between Swakopmund and Arandis for repairs to take place and for investigations to be carried out.
