Erongo Region emergency services providers went through a simulation exercise organized by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development on Thursday, to test their capability when responding to an accident scene.

The exercise consisted of a mock accident scene involving a bus carrying passengers and an oil tanker on the B2 highway at the old roadblock site outside Walvis Bay.

Ambulance and/or paramedics, firefighting services, traffic control, the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA) and members of the police force participated in the stimulation.

ā€œI’m very impressed with the level of skill and the response time demonstrated by all the emergency service respondents,ā€ said Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development Natalia Goagoses.
