Africa-Press – Namibia. AFFIRMATIVE Repositioning councillor Job Amupanda says the city of Kingston in Jamaica has agreed to partner with the visiting City of Windhoek delegation to host a reggae festival in the Namibian capital.

AFFIRMATIVE Repositioning councillor Job Amupanda says the city of Kingston in Jamaica has agreed to partner with the visiting City of Windhoek delegation to host a reggae festival in the Namibian capital.

“We agreed to a reggae festival where our Namibian and Jamaican artists will jointly participate,” Amupanda announced on his social media accounts earlier today, while saying that the Namibian delegation had a successful engagement with Kingston mayor Delroy Williams yesterday.

“I attended and addressed a special council meeting. An important achievement is the acceptance of our proposal for the Windhoek-Kingston games.

“Our children in Windhoek schools and in Kingston schools will get an opportunity to compete in these games.

“Together, we will be producing champions, starting with them while they are young. The Windhoek-Kingston games will be a decisive step in starting a sport economy and sport society.

“Our country and city will now be taken seriously through these tangible international co-operations!” Amupanda says.
