Africa-Press – Namibia. FORMER Namibian president Sam Nujoma left for Angola on Saturday to attend the funeral of former Angolan president José Eduardo dos Santos.
He was accompanied by businessperson and politician Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun.
A delegation from the Angolan embassy in Windhoek saw Nujoma off at the Eros Airport.
Dos Santos served as the second president of Angola from 1979 to 2017.
His funeral is expected to take place on Sunday.
He died on 8 July at the age of 79 in a clinic in Barcelona, Spain.
