Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibia Industrial Development Agency (Nida) recently recruited new board members who will resume their newly appointed positions on 1 September until 31 August 2025.

THE Namibia Industrial Development Agency (Nida) recently recruited new board members who will resume their newly appointed positions on 1 September until 31 August 2025.

Nida is a state-owned enterprise which came into existence in 2018, and has been operating under the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade for the past four years.

The agency’s main agenda is to advance Namibia’s industrialisation agenda in line with the country’s policies and developmental strategies, such as the Growth-at-Home strategy, the Harambee Prosperity Plan, and the fifth National Development Plan (NDP5).

The Ministry of Public Enterprises in a letter appoointed the following individuals as directors of the board for the next three years: Sebulon ‘Sebby’ Kankondi, who is currently the chief executive officer of Bidvest Namibia, has been selected as the board’s new chairperson.

Twapewa Kadhikwa, the founder of Twapewa Kadhikwa Institute of Entrepreneurship and SME Development, is the new deputy chairperson.

Esmeralda Katjaerua, a legal practitioner and the founder of Katjiaerua Legal Practitioners, will serve as board member, as well as Beata Muteka, who is the deputy chairperson of the Namibian Reinsurance Board.

Sven von Blottnitz is the current general manager of finance at Namibia Desert Diamonds, and Jerome Mutumbe is the head of marketing and corporation at the Development Bank of Namibia.
