CANDIDATES vying for top positions in Swapo last week visited Kavango East and West to Canvass for support at the 7th elective congress set for November.
The minister of environment Pohamba Shifeta, prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and deputy prime minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, are vying for vice president of the party.
Alsdo campaigning were incumbent party secretary-general Sophia Shaningwa and
Omusati regional coordinator Armas Amukwitu are fighting for the secretary-general position.
Kavango West regional coordinator David Hamutenya, former deputy minister of environment Uahekua Herunga, Evelyn Nawases-Taeyele who all want the deputy SG’s post, were also in the mix.
Lucia Witbooi did not attend the roadshow.
