Africa-Press – Namibia. THE City of Windhoek has reappointed George Mayumbelo as the municipality’s chief executive officer (CEO) until the end of November.
In a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon, the City said Mayumbelo will take over from O’Brien Hekandjo, who acted from 16 August 2022 until Tuesday.
Hekandjo is the strategic executive for electricity, while Mayumbelo is the head of the human capital and corporate services department.
Mayumbelo previously acted as CEO during the recruitment process for a substantive head for the municipality.
“As an organisation, we believe that under his [Mayumbelo’s] leadership, the organisation will continue to strive for success,” the City said.
