Africa-Press – Namibia. SWAKOPMUND’S municipal council remains unchanged after the same 10 councillors, and their portfolios, were re-elected and sworn in at the town on Wednesday.
Swakopmund magistrate Conchita Olivier presided over the swearing-in of the office-bearers for 2023.
Independent Patriots for Change member Dina Namubes keeps her position after taking over from Louisa Kativa earlier this year, after Kativa won the Swakopmund constituency council by-elections and is now a member of the Erongo regional council.
Wilfried Groenewald of the Swakopmund Residents’ Association also kept his place as chairman of the council’s management team.
