Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibian Police in the Oshana Region on Friday promoted 29 police officers to various ranks.
The officers were promoted to ranks such as Inspector, Warrant and Sergeant class 1 and 2, during the launch of the 2022/23 festive season road safety campaign launched at Oshiko roadblock.
Chief of police in Oshana, Commissioner Naftal Lungameni Sakaria, said the Inspector General has decided to reward some of the deserving members in the form of a promotion.
Sakaria said that it is a fact that they can never promote all members at the same time, but as long as the men and women in uniform remain committed and disciplined, it shall be the duties of the top heads to make sure that they can progress in their policing career.
