Africa-Press – Namibia. TODD Parker continued his fine form of late when he won the 2023 Omeya Junior Open last weekend.

The 17-year-old Parker was the overall winner of the tournament at the Omeya Golf Course, completing the three-round event with an overall gross score of 222, after rounds of 76, 73 and 73.

Wensley Haseb of Tsumeb Golf Club came second overall with a gross total of 227, while he had the best A division nett score of 214.

Janneman Brand, who came third overall on 234, won the A Division best gross score, while Nelson Johannes of Oshakati, who came fourth overall on 237, was the A Division best nett winner with a total of 231.

Trials were also held in preparation for the Africa Junior Golf Championships, while two more rounds of trials will be held at Tsumeb and Swakopmund before Namibia’s top four juniors will be selected for the continental tournament.
