Africa-Press – Namibia. DIMITRI Bittler is looking to take the Khomas Netball Regional Association to new heights after being elected as its new chairperson on Saturday.
A special annual general meeting held at Wanderers Club elected Bittler for four years, with Jackie Ortner his deputy.
Bittler indicated that he looks forward to a fruitful term.
“As new leadership, we look forward to a fruitful tenure that will see the region soar to greater heights,” said Bittler.
Other executive members are Erica van Zyl (secretary general), Elizabeth Max (public relations officer), Madonna Kharukhas (fixtures secretary) Klaudia Mbeeli (vice fixtures secretary), David Faustinus (technical coordinator) and Jane Toivo as an additional member.
The region also adopted a new constitution that is aligned to that of mother body, Netball Namibia.
Netball Namibia’s vice president Connie Samaria presided over the elections.
The Khomas netball league will commence in April.
