The celebration of the President’s extraordinary leadership coincides with Father’s Day worldwide.
President Geingob carried the SWAPO flag back to his home country after his return from exile and continued to fight for Namibia’s liberation.
According to a statement released by the presidency on Sunday, President Geingob reportedly led the first group of senior SWAPO freedom fighters on this day.
These individuals played a crucial role in Namibia’s transition to independence in 1990 and the socioeconomic advancement of the Namibian people.
President Geingob’s extraordinary and exemplary service to Namibians will serve as an example for present and future generations in Namibia.
The Presidency expressed gratitude to President Geingob for his steadfast, inclusive, and visionary leadership as Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, Founding Prime Minister, and the third President of the Republic of Namibia.
