Africa-Press – Namibia. President Hage Geingob has stressed the significance of public servants treating citizens, investors, tourists, and all individuals in need of public service with respect, while also ensuring the prompt and efficient delivery of services.
“In our collective attempts to build a prosperous and integrated Africa through trade, I urge all public servants to ensure that citizens, investors, tourists and all those who require public services are treated with respect and are provided with the services they need in a diligent and timeous manner,” he said.
These remarks were made by the President during the Joint Commemoration of the United Nations and Africa Public Service Day, celebrated on 23 June 2023, under the theme “Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area Implementation.” President Geingob highlighted that this theme serves as a reminder of the values and virtues of public service, aiming to eradicate poverty and promote unity and prosperity within Namibia as part of their contribution to Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want.
“Indeed, the Charters in your Offices, Ministries and Agencies are a clarion call for you to carry out your work with passion and dedication in fulfilment of the mission of the Government of the Republic of Namibia to deliver Effective Governance as part of the Harambee Prosperity Plan. Happy Public Service Day!”
