Africa-Press – Namibia. OSHAKATI Mayor Leonard Hango officially unveiled the new town council logo on Friday.
Hango said that their decision to embark on this rebranding is part of their desire to better represent the dynamic spirit of Oshakati.
The new logo has an easily identified familiar Oshakati Broadcasting Tower, which is 275 meters tall.
The tower has different sections and is held upright by various cables.
Moreover, the tower is set on the horizon with the sun rising in the background.
“The horizon reminds us to keep ourselves grounded, and it offers providence, and the sun in the background symbolizes the stability of life for the town,” he said.
Overall, Hango said that the new council logo captures the essence of the town – its vibrant energy, its unity in diversity, and its forward-looking ambition.
Hango indicated that the colours, shapes, and elements of the logo symbolize the various facets that make up the community.
“A community that stands together and embraces progress while cherishing its roots,” he said.
He stressed that the rebranding effort is more than just a change in appearance, a statement of their commitment to growth and development.
Hango said that this is a pledge to provide better services, improved infrastructure, and a higher quality of life to their residents.
