Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibia Sport Commission yesterday officially recognised and welcomed the Namibia Handball Federation as a new federation and issued them with a provisional certificate of registration.
The federation’s interim executive committee members were officially welcomed by the NSC chief administrator Simataa Mwiya at a press conference yesterday.
Issy Nakamwe is the interim president of the NHF; Elina Mutumbulwa is the interim vice president; Bela Veiko is the interim treasurer; and Sieggie Veii-Mujoro is the interim secretary general.
The interim executive’s terms of reference amongst others are the following: Organise and set up regional structures across the country as per their constitution.
Affiliate to the continental and international handball organizations respectively. Administer and develop handball in Namibia. Solicit partnerships and sponsorships to develop the sport of handball.
Organise the game of handball and organise the first elective congress before October 2024. The duration of the interim executive committee’s term of office will be for three years, from 2022 to 2024.
