Africa-Press – Namibia. GONDWANA Collection Namibia has announced that construction of its latest exclusive accommodations in the Kalahari and near Etosha National Park is progressing on schedule.
Gondwana’s Public Relations Officer, Christiaan Jacobie, confirmed that the retreats are expected to open on 1 December 2024. He mentioned that these new additions are part of Gondwana’s Secret Collection, each designed to offer a luxurious experience for two.
“With these new additions, Gondwana Collection Namibia not only expands its Secret Collection offerings but also offers a luxurious round trip through Namibia. All accommodations ensure complete privacy and include all amenities necessary for a perfect Namibian adventure,” Jacobie added.
He also revealed that Gondwana has renamed the Kalahari accommodation from The Nest to Reverie Kalahari Pod.
“Inspired by the tranquil daydream that awaits guests when they arrive at this pod, ‘reverie’ means ‘to be pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts’. It is situated amidst the red Kalahari dunes, just 30 kilometres north-east of Mariental, and is inspired by the timeless Khoi San traditions. A true sanctuary for the senses, with a private pool and unrivalled views of a private waterhole,” Jacobie explained.
As for the Etosha accommodation, Jacobie said it will be known as Ekipa, located 10 kilometres from Etosha National Park’s Andersson Gate.
“Named after a handmade jewellery button of the Aawambo women symbolising wealth and tradition, Ekipa offers exclusive access to African culture and wildlife. Encounter Etosha’s wildlife in unforgettable ways and relish a distinctive living experience amidst nature’s captivating symphony,” he said.
