Africa-Press – Namibia. NAMIBIA has recorded 1 334 new Covid-19 infections, 142 reinfections, 70 recoveries, and one death linked to the virus.
This was announced by minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula on Monday.
Shangula said 114 cases are fully vaccinated, while 27 vaccinated cases did not specify the number of doses received. He added that 1 160 (87%) of the new cases are unvaccinated.
The positivity rate for Namibia stands at 25,1%.
The total of 1 334 infections include 65 pupils from different schools, 27 healthcare workers, 15 students, and 12 teachers.
Shangula said 198 people are currently hospitalised due to Covid-19, with 16 in intensive care units.
