Africa-Press – Namibia. CHRISTMAS Day had hardly ended when the Oshana Region recorded its first murder.
The 28-year-old Mathias Festus Nghuuditeko, well-known for boxing under the banner of Bulelo Boxing Academy, was fatally stabbed around 00:30 on Sunday while reportedly trying to stop a fight.
According to a source Informanté spoke to, the deceased was trying to separate two people who were fighting at a party next door.
Nampol Community Affairs Officer Warrant Officer Frieda Shikole said the incident occurred at the Ondiyala location in the Ondangwa area.
“It is alleged that an unknown suspect stabbed the victim with an unknown object,” said Shikole.
Nghuuditeko died instantly.
No arrest has been made yet.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
