Africa-Press – Namibia. WHAT could be better than a glamorous rooftop party to end a turbulent year?

That is exactly what Mindscape Events are promising patrons at Avani Windhoek Stratos Restaurant and Bar. Their New Year’s bash will give patrons the perfect view of the midnight fireworks, as part of a two-day extravaganza which includes live music performances, food and drinks.

Shows organised by Mindscape Events include ‘The Homecoming’ with Major League DJs, as well as the African Music and Arts Festival. Mindscape Events’ Gordon Jay said the event is expected to be the ultimate festive season highlight, presenting a stellar line up of sought after DJs and artists.

“This event brings together food and hospitality, live music, entertainment and an unforgettable experience. A gathering of family and friends with the sole purpose of delighting in the gift of life.”

Catch the Vibe For those looking for a much more down to earth experience when ringing in the new year, The Catch might just be the spot to enjoy the countdown with Blaq Diamond on the turntables.

The Catch’s New Year’s bash kicks off at 15h00, with a line-up including local DJs Samzo, Roxy, Deon (Umculo) Antz, Nico, DLA and Tumi Mohammed. Local artists Shaiya, Jona and Jeiyo also promise some mind-blowing live performances.

Just across town at popluar hang-out spot XS, will you find Gazza, DJ Shoza, Pex Africa with DJ Tira and Dladla doing the things that must be done to take you into 2022.

La Cabrera Lounge and Bar won’t be left behind when they host South African musician Nokwazi, who will do the New Year countdown alongside DJ Oros, Asserdeep, Erick the DJ and DJ Zozo. Coastal Vibes

We also know that a coastal New Year’s bash is nothing without a pumped Chez Ntemba show, and this time around Namibia’s darling duo Ethnix will be doing the countdown alongside DJ Yfee, DJ Houvas and DJ T-Boy.

Now if you have wondered where you could enjoy some Tate Buti and Top Cheri tunes, head to the First Countdown in the North for a two-day extravaganza just outside Ondangwa, featuring a line-up of top artists such as Exit, Sameule Ngodji and Kuku Nkandanga.

Turn It Up Rutown is the place to be with House Guru Gang on Thursday, 30 December, alongside supporting acts such as Empire, 06 Bangers and DJ Lafresh.

And finally, this year’s City of Windhoek fireworks will go ahead, only this time it will be a park and view affair, in keeping with Covid-19 safety measures.
